What is Grounding?
Grounding, also known as Earthing, is simply connecting your body directly to the subtle, natural electrical energy that exists on the surface of the earth. During grounding, negative ions from the earth’s surface rush into our bodies to discharge the many unpaired positive ions and balance the electron-magnetic field that we accumulate in our daily lives. You can do this by walking barefoot outside or by using "barefoot substitutes" indoors that are made with a conductive material and utilize the ground port of electrical outlets.
grounding health benefits
- Reducing inflammation by defusing excess positive electrons
- Reducing chronic pain
- Improving sleep
- Increasing Energy level
- Reducing the incidence of cancer, and help cancer recovery
- Lowering stress, and promoting calmness by reducing cortisol.
- Reducing the body’s electronic field and extra electron-magnetic field.
- Improving blood pressure and blood flow
- Relieving muscle tension and headache
concept
The emphasis of the design is focused on connection and balance to resemble the direct contact with the earth and the neutral state our bodies become as a result. A streamline objective using a mix of warm and cool neutral tones with the look of natural wood and pops of green create a nature inspired atmosphere inside a hospital room that promotes healing aspects physically and mentally for a cancer patient.

Renderings
As you walk in the space, the diagonal shape of the room pulls you in and connects you into the space from a horizontal perspective, while the ceiling detail symbolizes the strength a cancer patient can receive from grounding and uses the walls to show the vertical connection between the ceiling and floor representing the direct contact that takes place in grounding.
Earthing® pads and sheets specially designed for human grounding are integrated throughout the seating and hospital bed for the patient. As a result, the patient has the ability to gain the benefits of having direct contact with the earth even in a hospital room, which is important in the healing process for cancer patients. In the potential of long periods of stay, the aesthetics of the room helps the cancer patient feel as if they are not in a hospital and enables them to have a quicker recovery.
